Job Description

The Maintenance Technician contributes to Starbucks’ success by providing technical support to operations team partners to ensure that all plant machinery is performing at the optimum level and is able to be operated in a safe manner. Models and acts in accordance with Starbucks guiding principles by championing a continuous improvement culture and continually seeking to improve reliability of equipment, processes and standards to eliminate waste, increase safety, quality and value.

Some of the Key Responsibilities are:

  • Preparation and execution of planned maintenance work orders, safely, in full and on time
  • Analysis of deviations in machine- and/or (machine related) product specifications using break down analysis methods
  • Responding to calls from Shift Supervisor and advice on repairs and prioritizing the urgency with plant supervisor 
  • Carrying out preventive maintenance, including inspections, on all plant machinery as per preventive maintenance schedule
  • Report findings for appropriate follow up
  • Initiating and supporting continuous improvement to all processes to promote and maintain safety, quality and production output
  • Training, coaching and instructing partners in routine preventive maintenance / autonomous maintenance

Terms of employement

  • Good salary between € 3.000 and € 4.000,- gross per month (excluding shiftwork bonus of 23,5%)
  • You will work in a 'relaxed 3 shift' system. This means that you only work the night shifts once every 6 weeks (instead of twice)

When we've received your resume and motivation we will contact you, usually within 1 working day. We will discuss your previous work experience(s) and/or education(s) over the phone or in a video call and if we are still interested (and of course you are) we will introduce you to the company.

First interview with guided tour

By now you have been introduced to the company and invited for your first interview. To properly assess whether you're a right fit for Starbucks, we've scheduled a first interview for you. The first meeting usually is with Ruben (Maintenance Manager), he will also take you for a tour of the plant. This way you will get a good impression of exactly what the work entails. Do you like what you see? If so, we hope you were able to leave a good first impression so that Starbucks is also eager to schedule a second interview with you.

You will receive an invitation from Procestechniek by e-mail with all the information about where and with whom you are having an appointment. This e-mail will also contain a few tips on how to prepare for your interviews.

Second interview

You have passed the first selection and have been invited for a second interview you will get to know some new colleagues and see and hear what they do precisely. The second interview will be with one or more supervisors. In this second interview we will go into a little more depth about your knowledge and skills. If in doubt, an assessment may follow this interview.

Must haves

  • Dutch Middelbaar Beroeps Onderwijs (MBO) level 4 in Mechatronics or Electrical engineering combined with relevant experience in mechanical engineering
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a technical service department, performing maintenance on production equipment, in a (food) manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of workorder and spare parts management with a computerized maintenance management system.
  • VCA certificate
  • Sufficient skills and knowledge to be nominated as an electrical skilled person according NEN3140
  • Knowledge of mechanical drive technology, pneumatics, hydraulics, process control, PLC 
  • Experience with analytical techniques for problem solving
  • Well-developed fine motor skills

In addition to these must haves, you possess the following skills:
